Exploring the city

The weather is still great, rather beautiful spring than cold winter, in fact perfect holiday weather;o) After a short walk around in Cremorne (Military Rd.), finding shops, post office, cafes... we hit the CBD. Sydney seems to have very affable environment. Skyscrapers mixed with "old-time-like" buildings in contrast with small family houses in surrounding quarters. Its banks are washed by Sydney Harbour's water, flowing from and off to the Pacific Ocean. It reminds me a lot the atmosphere of Chicago, my beloved US city with its green-blue-watered Lake Michigan. There is a park with a fountain in the heart of the city, fringed with historical buildings, museums and library, just as in Chicago... However, the local "loop" (monorail) is far modern and the dominant of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House are inimitable;o)
